Q&A:
Question by Charles K: Will there actually be seats in the standing room sections at Yankee Stadium for the World Series?
I was lucky enough to get tickets for the World Series through Ticketmaster right when they went on sale. I managed to get tickets in a section called 130S, which is a STANDING ROOM section. I know that standing most certainly means that there are no seats. However, my tickets come with seat numbers assigned and a row. I have heard conflicting information as to whether or not there will in fact be folding chairs, “cafe tables”, or no seating at all in that section.
The section is on the field level concourse, right behind the railing before the last row of actual seats, and is down the 3rd base line, going towards the foul pole. This would not be a section that would commonly have cafe tables and quite frankly, I’d be more than happy to stand, especially when you consider that the section is in close proximity to the field.
However, I was just curious as to whether there will indeed be seats of some sort set up for the game. It would make sense to at least have folding chairs because that would make it easier for security to know whether or not someone actually belongs in that section. Also, I don’t think it would be hard to come up with the folding chairs. But, I am not certain as to what I can expect.
I know that sections like 130S were available during the ALCS as well. Can someone who may have been in this section, or with accurate information about the section please tell me what I can expect in terms of actual seating? Also, any word on overall experience in that section would be appreciated (sight lines, crowd, security, etc).
Thank You.

You’ll be standing. The seat and row number is a formality. If you’re still not sure though you should call the stadium and inquire. Be sure to get there super early btw, standing in the back of a packed standing room only section blows.
