Question by americandream1: Any birthday ideas for a girl turning 3?
We are having a little get together for her but it will be family only because she doesn’t have any little friends yet (starts preschool this fall) except at church and they won’t be able to come over for her special day. Do you have any ideas that we could use to help her feel special? So far what I’m doing is baking a cake and hanging up decorations for her. I was thinking of designating her a special “chair” to sit in at the birthday table when she opens her presents. I don’t know what else. She has been very grumpy and says she is not going to turn 3 next week. I think she is afraid of not being a baby anymore. She has an older brother, 5.
There is not going to be a crowd of people. It will be between 5 and 8 people if that.

tell her three is much better than two and give her something that only threes can have so she’ll feel special (like something that says ‘age three and older’ or a special ‘I am three’ hat)
